No successful restaurateur wants to turn away guests due to lack of space! This often results when demand exceeds the available space so the challenge is to have multi and diverse use of existing space.
In these cases, Meissl’s extensive outdoor concepts prove particularly advantageous. The perfect interplay of large umbrellas, wind protection elements and bar and restaurant equipment allows for provision of these services, regardless of the weather or time of day. In addition, it is possible to realize a very different setup on the same surface. Thus an open-air space can be turned into everything from a sophisticated restaurant to a sun patio to an après ski bar. Kraxlalm has realized a very special multiuse system.
Kraxlalm is at the center of an amusement park in Rutesheim near Stuttgart. Here, alpine specialties are offered in a rustic setting. And there also diverse opportunities for staying active. This is a mix that works well because guests these days do not just want to sit in a restaurant but go out and get some activity, and operator Norbert Barthelmess is well aware of this. A high ropes course and facilities for archery, mini golf, play golf and pit-pat offer lots of variety for all ages in summer. For the winter months, a curling rink has now been installed with the ice stick shooting that is so popular in the Alps – an absolute novelty in the Swabia heartland. And the extraordinary thing about this setup: four Meissl large umbrellas with a sophisticated lighting system and height-adjustable wind walls provide shelter in bad weather and the perfect setting for casual socializing! And from the end of February, the area is transformed into a beer garden where the large umbrellas provide pleasant shade on hot days.
